Yes, yes. We've gone over this before. It was deliberate at the time I built the sim that kicking distances would be shorter than reality to make the game balance more realistic and for it to flow better. Clearly people are fixated with this being analogous to real life and so I've changed this for S5. This still uses the S4 sim.

Heef, given the backs' injuries are we trying to slow the game down, or is that just what we've ended up doing?

Not like that's specifically what he's in the side for or anything

 

I changed our tactics to be more defensive than the tactics that Ireland employed due to their superiority in the back line to us. I certainly chose a more forwards based game. But I have no more options than the standard Open, Closed, Default and Kicking that everyone else has.

Heath Davis with the ball on the run here. He gains 5 metres. Brian O'Driscoll is zeroing in for the tackle but he draws in the tackler and gets the offload away to Aaron Hunt.

Play Heef in the centres next time, he's got O'Driscoll's measure

 

O'Driscoll should be an absolute beast in this, but he's been kept very quiet. Pivots not really doing the job for the Irish.
