Jake Luffman tackled by Reece Fittaman. The whistle goes. Jason Denton penalised for hands in the ruck. Penalty to the Spartans and this is well within kicking range.

Luffman opts for the kick and secures the 3 points.

Fung with the restart, fairly short and Blunder runs in to take the ball. Blunder runs past James Torres. Blunder passes to Schaw...

...But Taylor has read that pass and has intercepted. He juggles the ball but holds it and is away. Farnsworth is covering, but he can't stop Taylor from scoring in the corner.

Ames fluffs the conversion, but it was a toughie.

Line out 20m from the Spartans try line. Marcuss Deane has been penalised for interference there. He's remonstrating with the referee, but no dice.

Fung kicks for touch - looks like the Hurricanes want another try here. Line out on the 5m line.

Deep throw from Smith and is taken by League Lover. He peels away from the rear of the line out and drives at the line. He's only got Schaw to beat who's smashed out of the way.

Ames to take the conversion. A much easier one from here. And yes, that's over

Line out to the Hurricanes on the half way line. Smith with the throw, but McGrath is lifted high and makes the steal.

Spartans keeping this close. McGrath passes to Ritchie who runs at Weaver. Weaver somehow brings Ritchie down but Eggman and Laing come in and secure the ball.

Cribb passes to Luffman on the run and then passes back inside to Cribb.

Cribb spots a hole and he somehow pierces the small gap between Ames and Pilgrim.

Cribb wrong foots Al Son and is through. There are Spartan backs lining up to take this try, but Cribb's done the work and he spots down under the posts.

Fung with the ball, but is hit in the tackle by Ritchie. Forwards from both sides pile in, but Izett makes a telling hit knocking Torres off the pile.

Turnover and Laing attempts the pick and go. He gains a few yards before the ball is spread wide. Smith receives the ball, but is tackled by Glensor.

The Hurricanes have secured a quick turnover here. Smith was isolated.

There's an overlap here for the Hurricanes and Pilgrim spreads a cut out pass to Karwin Rogers. Rogers makes a diagonal run before cutting inside and there's a missed tackle by Marcuss Deane there.

Weak defending there from Deane, and Rogers is through. Blunder can't stop him and Rogers slides down in the corner. Tough conversion for Ames, but he's nailed it.
