Great work by the NSW forwards here. Morgan Burridge with a great charge through the centre of the Queensland defense. It took 3 players to bring him down. The ball comes clear and they look to spin it wide.

Daniel Speirs runs, gaining a few yards before Choco Man puts in another good tackle. NSW just 5m short.

They set up for the pick and go. They feel they can outmuscle the Queensland forwards here.

Read takes a charge at the line. Doesn't make much progress. Getting very close to the posts here. Burridge goes for the pick and go, but is brought down quickly. The ref's arm comes out. Another off side, advantage to the New South Welshmen.

Welker and Read again at the side of the ruck, set up for the pick and go. Welker darts at the line and slams into the base of the posts under the tackle from Downpipes.

We'll go to the TMO here. And yes, clearly Welker rammed the ball at the right angle of post and pitch there.

    TRY to NEW SOUTH WALES!!!
    Hunt nails the conversion.

    NSW 12 - 3 QLD

Penalty to NSW from 25m out. Hunt to take the 3 points here from straight in front. And he gets it.

    NSW 15 - 3 QLD

16:45 Restart to the Queenslanders. Ged King with the kick. That's not gone 10m! Scrum on the half way line.

Scrum to New South Welshmen. Great work by the New South Welshmen. They've secured their own ball and win that scrum gaining 5 metres.
The next phase to be played from 5 metres on the Queenslanders side of the halfway line.

Kelvin Fung is tackled by Will Robinson for the Queenslanders and a ruck forms. The ruck is contested but the New South Welshmen show good ball security and extracate the ball from the ruck.

The next phase to be played from 8 metres on the Queenslanders side of the halfway line.

Incredible stuff here! He's burst through the defensive line and he's on a run. Kyle Tait with the ball for the New South Welshmen. I think he's going to make it all the way. Yes, he touches down under the posts. A great run of 43 metres. TRY!!

    TRY TO New South Welshmen
Conversion attempt for the New South Welshmen. Kick to be taken by Aaron Hunt. Nah, that's sailed wide of the posts.

Only 17 minutes in, and the scoreboard looks ugly if you're a Queenslander.

    NSW 20 - 3 QLD

If only I kicked three in a row. The celebrations that would've occurred.

Line Out to Queenslanders. That's a good throw.
Easy take there for the Queenslanders. The ball secured easily by Brett Gemmell.

The next phase to be played from 31 metres on the New South Welshmen side of the halfway line.

Paddy Orr with the ball on the run here. He's already gained 2 metres. It looks like he's going to be tackled by Aaron Hunt but he manages to offload to Ben Manera in time.

The next phase to be played from 33 metres on the New South Welshmen side of the halfway line.

Ben Manera with the ball on the run here. He's already gained 7 metres. Good Tackle by Daniel Speirs (!) and a ruck forms.

The next phase to be played from 40 metres on the New South Welshmen side of the halfway line.

Choco Man is tackled by Benny Read for the New South Welshmen and a ruck forms. The ruck is contested but the Queenslanders show good ball security and extracate the ball from the ruck.

The next phase to be played from 42 metres on the New South Welshmen side of the halfway line.

Incredible stuff here! He's burst through the defensive line and he's on a run. Luke Pilgrim with the ball for the Queenslanders. I think he's going to make it all the way. Yes, he touches down under the posts. A great run of 9 metres. TRY!!

    TRY TO Queenslanders
Conversion attempt for the Queenslanders. Kick to be taken by Ged King. Nah, that's sailed wide of the posts.

    Just what the Queenslanders needed

Yes, and no. This game was originally scheduled for Week 1 when James, Jacobs, O'Neill and Cribb were injured. As I rescheduled it for Cribb's convenience, I thought it'd be unfair for the Queenslanders to have to face a very different team from that which they should have if Cribb wasn't busy. Hence, Fung is not injured but the other 4 are.

  20. Cribbage RG Cribb

Nah, instead of Fung being injured, me, Tart, Incey and Azzal are.
