Haha it was expected. Good to break even for the tournament but need to work on these poor starts!
HT Davis with a very poor drive. It goes a short 213 yards into the rough.
AR Dforum a bit better. 231 yards down onto the fairway.
HT Davis recovers well to put himself back onto the fairway. He's a bit under 60 yards from the hole.
AR Dforum strikes the ball well to land it onto the putting surface. He put a little too much into that and it rolls to the far edge of the green, 14 yards away. It'll be a difficult putt.
So close Heef.
Carn the short game. Pitch and putt. That's all that's required.
HT Davis is now on the green, but still over 8 yards out.
AR Dforum misses an opportunity to secure the win by putting too short. He's still around 3 yards from the hole.
HT Davis with an opportunity to bring this to the next hole.
AR Dforum easily sinks the 3-yard putt. Four strokes on the par four for him. HT Davis up with his fourth stroke. 8 yards from the hole.
No problem for the New Zealander.
The next hole will be one of the more challenging holes, hole three. It is a long par four at 486 yards filled with many bunkers all along the fairway.
Gotta hit a decent drive this time.
HT Davis drives the ball 250 yards down the course, but it lands in a sand trap.
AR Dforum also misses the fairway with his short 220 yard drive, with his landing in the rough.
Poor start for both of our competitors.
It's like the SCOPE annual golf outing.
Tbh the field for the Scottish Open was much stronger :ninja:
Good recovery from a worse position for HT Davis. He's now back on the fairway, 100 yards out after two strokes.
AR Dforum a bit closer, 83 yards from the hole.
HT Davis with an amazing approach shot. The ball rests under 4 yards from the hole.
AR Dforum misses the green. He's 20 yards out.
Pitch and putt doing the goods. Finish this!
HT Davis misses the short putt!
Five strokes required for HT Davis.
AR Dforum three strokes down, 20 yards out.
