You should go buy a football. You'd make a great wendyball supporter.

Pathetic posts by a pathetic man 9probable child) despite many attempts to sooth the discussion and point what is pretty valid arguments.

I guess the selectors see more potential in Julian Savea than Gear. He has the skill set, size and strength.

Yeah forgot about him, another player similar to George North in terms of skillset

Apart from the fact Gear cannot play in the junior WC this year and the fact North has performed at a WC and backed it up with great performances in the 6N, Elite european competition and winning a GS.

You have clearly proven yourself the last few posts. Particularly the one before this. As I mentioned earlier I love rugby discussion and gave you the benefit of the doubt for ages, but you are not a rugby supporter, you are certainly not somebody worthy of wasting time have what was a decent topic of debate. Pathetic

    What is his skill set?

  7. Mattt MP Jones

No idea what that meas. Is it kiddy slang?

What has this got to do with anything? We're looking at current ability, not potential.

  9. Jabba HJ Bots

You said I am narrowminded in what a winger does

    GEAR IS SIMILAR TO NORTH

YOU PICKED NORTH IN YOUR TOP 4

    HYPOCRITICAL MUCH :jawdrop:

Gear would have just as bigger impact for Wales as North. Being young =/= being a better player, potential has nothing to do with it.

 they're the keyboard shortcuts for copy/paste

We are comparing them and their impact on the world stage if Gear was to get that chance again aren't we? I believe it would make huge difference when comparing the two

Big barnstorming runner, hit holes hard and takes alot to bring down. Great ability to offload and create space for other players.

    Once again

refer to MR PREZ and his philander example

That's opinion, and it's also what the debate was meant to be on before everyone got all flamy.

The fact you sit there and makes a post like this says it all. You have no rugby knowledge and you have no shame. North is in the top 4 so should Gear because they have similar skill set is as far as your rugby knowledge goes.
If you could make a worthy debate of it, which is why I sat here and got involved first off, it could have been fun

Thanks! One thing that stands out with me is I know nothing technical about computers, internet etc...I can use word though

No it wouldn't - just because Gear is not playing at the youth WC doesn't mean he isn't as good as North if North performs well. Two reasons:

    1) Gear may have done just as well as North were he to have the chance.
    2) Performing well at a YOUTH WC isn't a good enough to prove that you are one of the best 4 wingers in the world.

I am sure my clubs on here will approve of this though. My post count has rocketed!

  19. Jabba HJ Bots

    Yeah exactly

I never started out comparing Gear to other countries wingers, I started comparing him to NZ wingers and why he isn't in the setup for reasons =/= to his ability as a wing.

He then said because he isn't a complete winger yet he thinks North is top 4 who in my opinion is the same kind of winger as Gear and both are similar skill levels.

This isn't what he was saying though. He was talking about their impact on the rugby community. Of course North is going to have a bigger impact, as he's 19.
