    Yes.

    MP, look at it this way - for a higher-ranked club, would you prefer a best 22 player who can add quite a bit to your side? Or a kid who will take a couple of years to really progress and might bust?

    Plus y'know, they're still on contract. Is it really worth letting them go if they can only get picks in the 20's?

    Yeah, but they need first round draft picks more than a flag contender needs these guys imo. I see where you are coming from but i don't think too many clubs will be throwing their first rounders at them.

    Gibbs goes missing when the going gets tough and Murphy is softer than a wet paper bag. Yes, when they are in good form they are quality players but i sure as hell would rather Collingwood throw a first rounder at someone like Dangerfield. When the likes of Dangerfield & Aish are going to be on the market at the same time, i dont think Gibbs & Murphy would be valued as first rounders, they are getting older and aren't as appealing as Danger or Aish imo.

    If I was Brad Scott I'd throw a first round pick at Carlton for Gibbs. A little bit of class off HB is what we need.

    Yes, they are worth a first round pick. Definitely for those teams who are in the premiership window or will be in the next 3 years.
