The ball is passed from the scrum directly to Grothe who looks to make a charging run but Rogers holds him up this time. Read is charging across in cover defence and he flies like a torpedo at the Winger and he is forced into touch, great muscle there.

 

8th Min

Perry takes the ball from the scrum, tries to dummy and gets smashed. A hard charge by Pilgrim is halted close to the line, before Jacobs spins it to Rogers who busts a tackle and tries to cross but desperate Eels defence stops the big man. Jacobs throws a long pass to the middle and hits Laing who has the massive thighs pumpingh here, a determined charge at the heart of the defence results in a TRY!!!!!

Jacob lines up from halfway to the sideline here. He is too good again and gets the extras!

9th Min

The Bears play a solid set before Fung clears to the Eels end, some tough play here, however Hindmarsh busts the Eels defence on the 4th here! Mortimer kicks the ball which finds Rogers on the touchline here, he sets off along the touchline! He gets past on defender, he needs to come infield now, surely he will! No he doesn't and he gets bundled into touch! Rogers has been absolutely shithouse today, time for a sub.

 

10th Min

The Eels are mounting a late attack here. Some horrible defence from Hunt, then Fung results in a break by Inu who is too quick for a valiant James in defence! Burt gets the chance to equalise now.

Burt withstands the pressure here and he's too good
