Well it's not like anyone was going to keep them anyway. It's just a way of getting rid of all the shunts early tbh, as well as keeping the inactive pokemon in the game. Not like there's a great deal of improvement gained for having something else instead IMo Also lets me make gyms better, which is a plus. If you don't like it, go make your own Pokemon Sim.
Really? With a quick scan* of the parties, I think it just benefits the better players more. They have higher level useless pokemon (linoone's, rattatas and whatnot) which they can trade for a wide range of better pokemon from the inactives. The poor players on the other hand have the same useless pokemon, however since they're at a lower level, there's not much choice for them in terms of options to trade with. Personally speaking, I'm happy to continue with whatever we have and forego the trading biz. If someone is falling seriously behind, then by all means give him some charity candies, but every game has to have shunts so I wouldn't be too worried about closing the gaps between the good and the bad, as long as they don't keep widening too far. *may have resulted in an inaccurate judgement
Yeah I seriously think if people are getting their knickers in a twist about their pokemon team in a randomized game like this they should probably just chill out.
Give me some time, if there's enough objections, it shouldn't matter anyway. By the end you'll all have decent teams anyway. Sorry for not continuing yesterday, got busy playing DotA with friends/Annoying Droos for no real reason/working. I'll get the gym stuff and OP sorted today, and then work out which teams need help and try to give them some. Actual simming to probably come by Saturday, or maybe a bit today, at uni unti 9pm tomorrow and got a midsemester on Friday.
So with it having been 8 days, we're dropping these guys (Bender has posted since but sure if he was confirming.) If you ask nicely I won't drop your team, but it depends on how far we get to when your real last chance are. I reckon a couple of these may want to continue, not sure about the others. Mike Rocks Raide Ritchie Gazza Jager Shagger Howe Riz Reframe Bender Tart Mike Cloughie And that leaves us with 18 as I'm dropping my team, now for the gym stuff.
And for the gym rewards Everyone gains 2 levels. I realise now that much as I want to reward success, levels just creates too much of a snowball, so it's static EXP from now on Winners gain a Weather Machine (Basically it's a HM for all weather moves) and the ThisWasProbablyTooToughBadge You also all gain a fishing rod. This lets you in advance tell me that you want to fish on a route instead (If applicable) and if you catch, it lets you get a fishable pokemon instead.
C'ed. That makes 20, moving him back in ATM. After I've updated for gym, then I'll get to the welfare office and do that too.
And just checking this system for welfare is OK and that people have no objections: Basically, I'm going to average out the levels for the first 5 pokemon in all teams and chuck people a bunch of Rare Candies to take them up to the average. So if the average is 125 and you've got 115 levels across your first 5 mons, you'll get 10 candies This will buff some people who are doing well though (*Cough* Rocks *Cough*) Oh and rulechange that makes sense and should've been done already, Rare Candies and Lucky Egg no longer stacks.
OK, added you and myself back in to keep the even numbers. Now to the charity. Worked out the average levels from people's 5 highest in team was just shy of 121 (This actually won't help some teams in need because they're just struggling with results.) Rocks-8 Rare Candies Gazza-7 Rare Candies AVA-5 Rare Candies Mousey-11 Rare Candies Reagan Wheelson-7 Rare Candies Captain-9 Rare Candies Mariner-6 Rare Candies Droos-2 Rare Candies BoshtrichBurger-5 Rare Candies Bender-1 Rare Candy People like Masters actually exceeded the average, though I'll definitely consider giving him someone. People like Rocks don't seem to need it but he's really underlevelled. If anyone objects to this system, speak now or go fuck yourself when you want it changed in a week.
So you're just boosting the low teams to the average? Inb4 people try and get double levels with the lucky eggs.
The main problem ice got with it is the people who have good teams haven't been able to choose what levels their Pokemon are at - its been pretty much spread across all of the team. Someone like Mousey can go and give all 11 to his best pokemon and get like a level 38 Pokemon which will sweep everyone
