Pokemon v3-The game thread

Happy enough with you taking a Sableye tbf. So that's what I'm giving you.

And the other 14 players are being assigned rivals now. If you don't like who you get, good. They're your rival, not your butt buddy. Rival pairings are:

Chris versus Diggler
Mariner versus Jager
Masters versus Droos
Tart versus Reagan Wheelson
Bender versus Escath
Tom versus Ritchie
TheSpoon versus Rizzy

These were randomised and then balanced if there was an immunity matchup BTW.

 

Diggler (Swablu) defeated Chris (Charmander)

Digger with his STAB peck wasn't really troubled at all, a late crit from Chris made it look close but it wasn't at all.

 

Jager (Houndour) defeated Mariner (Shinx)

Houndour's 4 turn clock with Ember was one too many for the Shinx, who came close, but no cigar. One crit could've turned it, but none occured.

 

Droos (Aron) defeated Masters (Voltorb)

Voltorb got 3HKO'd and had major resistance issues. Horribly unlucky matchup for him to get but there you go.

 

Tartmaster (Seel) defeated Reagan Wheelson (Machop)

Seel had a 4 turn clock, which didn't look enough when a Machop low kick took 80% of his health without critting. He then got an extremely lucky flinch, which let him finish due to his superior speed.

 

Bender (Klink) defeated Escath (Torchic)

No contest, Klink had the resistance advantage and the damage advantage at the same time. Easy win for Bender.

 

Ritchie (Sableye) defeated Tom (Nidoran M)

Easy enough for Ritchie. Tom needed Poison Point to proc early, and it didn't until the KOing blow.

 

TheSpoon (Vulpix) defeated Rizzy (Gastly)

Easy win for Vulpix. Despite getting Hypnosis'ed on the first turn, he woke up immediately and got a burn proc off his Ember, and Gastly's awful damage meant he had no answer.

 

Squirtle won, he was facing a Charmander though.

Nearly done with route 101.

 

And now onto the simmage of route 101. After this, I'll see what I feel like doing, there may be more, there may not be.
