  2. Bender BG Herd

    Yep, Herd > farns(not)worthy.

    1) Benny Read – 6/10
Didn’t do much apart from some solid scrummaging. He held the scrum together well but we expect a lot more from such an influential player.

    2) Tom Delonge – 7/10
A solid performance in both set pieces from the SR Hooker. Needs to expand his game a bit from just set pieces and get involved more in open play if he is to be the best of the best.

    3) Dave Eggman – 9/10
He’s definitely written off any critics that said he shouldn’t be here. Scrummaged excellently, and capped off a good open play performance with a try.

    4) James McDougal – 8/10
The big lock did nothing wrong today and was involved in more than a few pick and goes. Needs to be more aggressive at the set pieces though, not enough steals for my liking.

    5) Jason Denton – 8/10
This guy was also a key part of the dominant set piece of the SR XV today, particularly at the lineout.

    6) Callum Laing – 7/10
Managed to get himself a try, and he was defensively fairly solid, but we’d like to see him get involved in a few more attacks. Did his job today though.

    7) Brett Gemmell – 7/10
A decent performance from this controversial figure. Capped it off with a try but didn’t do much else. After his try he seemed to wear off a little bit.

    8) Marcuss Deane – 5/10
Not the Mr. Deane that got handed the captain’s armband for today’s game. Didn’t get involved in anything and missed a few fairly important tackles.

    9) Mate Perry – 8/10
Certainly allowed the backs to unleash today and that’s proven with the 8-try rout. But he wasn’t selfish enough on his runs, which he is so deadly with.

    10) Jake Luffman – 9.5/10
What a performance from the young lad. We’d like to give him a 10, but it wasn’t quite perfect. He was defensively brilliant, he let nothing through, and he always made the right decision of who to give the ball to. Well played lad.

    11) Ben Herd – 8/10
Got a try, did his job, can’t ask for a lot more.

    12) Chris Golding – 8/10
Another big figure in the firing backline of the SR XV. Decent performance from the guy today, similarly to the Emerging match, he didn’t give Graham anything to do defensively.

    13) Adam Vago – 6/10
Seemed slightly out of sorts in the #13 jersey. He shipped the ball out wide but there were no barnstorming runs that we all know and love.

    14) Al Farnsworth – 6/10
Another poor performance from the one-time great. He really needs to start firing if he is to keep his place in the side as a certain Gareth Weaver breaths down his neck.

    15) Sam Graham – 9/10
Kicked everything that was needed and only missed 1 out of his 10 shots at goal. Didn’t do much in open play but that’s because he didn’t need to.

    POTT POINTS:
    Jake Luffman – 5
    Dave Eggman – 4
    Sam Graham – 3
    Chris Golding – 2
    Jason Denton - 1

  17. Andato BJT Manera
