    Crows being 11th is a little harsh IMO. a kick away from the GF last year and came what? 11th with team mentally fucked from the off season and without our best (2nd best, perhaps) player. If we can finish 3rd last year, I reckon there's better than 31 dollar chance we'll be back up given the squad hasn't changed barring tippett - only is a little more experienced.

    I think Brisbane are way too short, don't think they have any realistic shot in 2014. Port Power also seem to have pretty good odds, no idea how the bookies think Brisbane and Adelaide are more likely to win the grannie than Port Adelaide.

    Upside. Who at Port is left to take a massive step up? This year they had Boak become elite, Westhoff become elite, Lobbe hit his peak, Gray significantly improve, Hartlett improve

    I mean, I don't see much upside for the immediate future given the 'breakout prospects' already did. There's not much upside for Schulz/Ebert etc, Hartlett has a little and Wines is bound for second year blues.

    A lot of blokes who 'could' take the next step from Brisbane, for example. Unlikely - but if they do, who knows.

    Heh, it seems like you judge player development pretty discretely. This isn't Battrick, it's not like their players are all at set levels of skill. They have a young mob who did very well this year and by all means I think they can continue to improve and push on in 2014. Sure, there are prospectively players from Brisbane who 'could' take the next step, but then again there are plenty of blokes from Melbourne who 'could' take the next step. I'm a little confused by your process of judging.
