    Lovenkrands, Campbell and Carney all to Newcastle according to various reports.

    Newcastle have had a 600 k bid for Solvi Ottesen accepted as well. He is ****ing crazy apparently. Real hard tackler and loves to attack. Strong and a beast. He can play RB as well. Things looking slightly better.

    He did well enough. I honestly think that Newcastle will finally see the best of Alan Smith this season & he is the sort of player that will do really well in the Championship.

    and TBH, a fair few of the Toon players fit that mould this season. If we manage a few signings and loan players, we should be able to stay around 1st - 5th all season, I am not still not sure if we can sustain 1st place, but the next few months should show if we can or not.

    Dougy were you at the game? How much possession did reading have. because Brendan rogers seems to be plaing possession football. I was told in the reading Forest game we had something like 80% possession.

    Not bad I suppose, a fairly even match stats wise, The toon just did it where it counted.

    Shola has always been unlucky as Newcastle always preferred the big names up front and Shola was there in reserve, however since things have turned full circle, Shola has his big chance.

    The toon fans have always been 50/50 on Shola. When he's on form he's immense, and when he's shit he's really shit.

    You wouldn't think so.....however Newcastle are not a normal club, and the other non-playing stuff that goes on off the field has to affect the players on the pitch....and I know it affects the fans/turnouts etc....
