Also Eds, Nippy Centre is agility I presume, or is that speed so essentially a running centre.

  2. Eds E Ames

Yep. Crash Ball will generally be stronger, though.

  3. Escath LE Schaw

Well of course, but you won't be penalised for it other than that?

A good example might be Hole Running Fullback with a Speed boost playing on wing or Metre Making Second Rower with Godly Technique playing flanker.

  4. Eds E Ames

Having a Metre Making Second Rower at flanker would not be a good move, due to the mobility.

A Hole Running Full Back could easily play on the wing due to the similarity of the positions.

  5. Escath LE Schaw

Don't see why a metre making lock wouldn't be mobile.

  6. Eds E Ames

Would be fairly mobile, but not to the degree of a decent flanker.

Umm, I'm not sure about this.

So, would I have to use only 100 points in defense, attack and tactical kicking?

  8. Eds E Ames

You have 100 points on attack and defense. You then get 15 points to spend on kicking.

  9. Fungus K Fung

Oh right, then I can put all 15 points on tactical kicking.

Or if I really want to waste it, I can put some of those points into goal kicking?

  10. CCG C Golding

Wait...you've used 20 points on Goal Kicking, I presume that's because it was one of your abilities last time round, and so as I has Tactical Kicking I'm also entitled to them? Darn this is confusing but it'll be ridiculously awesome.

  11. Eds E Ames

I have carried 5 of my att/def points across.

  12. Eds E Ames

    If you really want.

I think 15 extra points for backs to invest in kicking is too much. I think there should be a larger need to sacrifice attack/defense points to make up kicking skill. Surely there's a negative impact for forwards in that backs can still be equally attacking/defensive but have the added bonus of kicking their way out of trouble. Forwards won't have that option.

  14. Eds E Ames

Yeh, I was thinking this, actually. Every back is going to be a very good kicker. Maybe have it as 10?

  15. CCG C Golding

It's like real life though. Backs spend a lot more time honing their game allround, especially kicking, whereas Forwards work on scrummaging and bulking up as their version.

  16. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Its a tough one, as I can see the reason you've done it, but it's even gonna give centres the ability to be strong at tactical kicking.

I think keep it at 15 for the number 10 and number 15, 10 points for the number 9 and 5 for 11,12,13,14. It may be making things too complex though.

  17. HeathDavisSpeed HT Davis

Not every back can kick 15/20 tactically. Many backs can't kick for shit, and there is no applicable bonus stat for scrummaging/set pieces.

  18. Eds E Ames

I agree with you, and that's what we'll do.

    Except we'll have 14 for 10s, 12 for 15s, 10 for 9s, 5 for 11,12,13,14s.

  19. CCG C Golding

Possibly go for 11, as odd a number as it is, because as you say it's too complicated your way probably.

Another option is that you go on people's original regos, and only those with kicking abilities can have 15/10 whatever points on this one whereas others have to sacrifice other points?

  20. CCG C Golding

Doesn't work really. Olly Barkley, for example, plays 12 and kicked better than anyone else in the Premiership a few seasons back. Giteau kicked from 12 as well. Then you have to answer secondary positions and stuff too.
