I created this for myself a while ago but I thought I'd give it to everyone else too in case anyone wanted to use it. Basically it adds a search engine in Firefox that lets you search for CricSim players, up where it has Google, Wikipedia etc. <link rel="search" type="application/opensearchdescription+xml" title="Mycroft Project" href="http://mycroft.mozdev.org/opensearch.xml"><script type="text/javascript" src="http://mycroft.mozdev.org/default.js"></script><a href="http://mycroft.mozdev.org/jsreq.html" title="Ref: cricsim_player (36521)" onClick="addOpenSearch('cricsim_player','png','','36521','g');return false">CricSim Player Search</a>
Actually wouldn't have been working for the past 15 minutes or so FTR; I was making a change to the search page. All good now though.
Haha, this is a whole new level of geek. Somehow it makes it geekier that you were keeping it for yourself. I might actually try it though.
Yeah when I first posted it up it worked. I was tweaking the search page to make it automatically redirect to the player page when there was only one result though, so it should work better now. For example, if you just type in "Gemmell" and press enter, it'll go straight to Boobidy's page rather than listing the one result.
"JavaScript must be enabled to install a search plugin. If you have installed NoScript, you will need to allow this page to run scripts." FUUUUUU!!
I agree with Alec Alec it is even easier with Opera 1. Go to http://www.cricsim.com/site/search.php 2. Right click the field box and click Create Search 3. Name it and give it a key 4. Bob is your uncle
