    Not sure if I'm happy or sad about this news - mixed feelings. From a neutral point of view it really must suck to be a coach, this guy won 4 straight premierships with Ocean Grove and yet that has definitely been completely tarnished and worse in the two years he has been at Melbourne. At the end of the day I feel sorry for him personally as it no doubt would have been complete hell but I'm not exactly sure that I'm happy with what he's done for us over the two years.

    Well, instead of stressing about it and our new coach too much, I think I might just sit back and let the next few years play out. Don't have the energy anymore after looking forward to every new season for the past five years.. but carn the Dees nonetheless.

    Probably. Collingwood rated him very highly as an assistant back when he was there.

    Terrible decision. Melbourne should have allowed him to see out the season. They are in more trouble in regards to their board and their players, not the coach.

    Which is why I said they should have allowed him to coach out the season. Melbourne aren't going anywhere this season regardless of who coaches.
