    10 overs: CricSim 69/1

Immediately after hitting Dale Steyn through the covers for four, Mahmathlai tried to do the same again and found himself caught behind. Delonge came in and he and James picked up the attacking strokes from there to get CricSim off to a hot start, a run of overpitched deliveries from Steyn and Rabada getting spanked down the ground for four.

    20 overs: CricSim 105/1

The established pair of James and Delonge were more restricted against the tighter line and length of Philander and Pretorious, but the Proteas failed to find a breakthrough.

    30 overs: CricSim 165/2

Delonge failed to kick on from his strong start, falling lbw to Philander for an enterprising 41, but James stuck in and raised a more conservative fifty from 75 balls. He was ably supported by Oscar Wood as CricSim built a solid platform.

More relatively strong performances from our top 4, that is clearly our strength.

    40 overs: CricSim 238/3

James was unable to make another ton, but after he fell to Morris for 80, Hawke came to the crease and smashed his first ball over cover for four. That set the tone for his stand with Oscar Wood, who raised the second half century of the innings as the pair steered CricSim past 200. While Wood rotated the strike, Hawke raced to an unbeaten 32 off 20 balls.

No doubt. James and Wood are world class. Rest of the top five are pretty good too

    50 overs: CricSim 317/6

Hawke's fierce cameo was ended when he lofted Steyn to the deep midwicket fielder, and Wood was gone the next over thanks to a fine caught behind, stalling CricSim's progress. Devon Mace got off the mark with a straight six against Rabada, and he and Chewie were abe to keep up the boundary count for a few overs before the fast bowler took his revenge on Mace's off stump. Some good death bowling restricted Chewie and Weaver to singles, before Weaver dented Rabada's figures further with a bizarre squirted six over backward point for the seamer's penultimate ball, bringing up his side's 300. Keeping the strike, Weaver hit Steyn for three successive fours to add a little icing to CricSim's cake.

    No Tahir for SA? Strange.

    10 overs: South Africa 59/1

Quinton de Kock and Hashim Amla responded powerfully to the steep target of 318, with the usually parsimonious Dyer coming in for stiff treatment. Debutant Heath Davis got the breakthrough in his fifth over as de Kock feathered an edge through to Hawke.

Let's see weaver with the ball, hopefully he is our all-rounder

    20 overs: South Africa 144/3

Gareth Weaver added to his memorable batting performance with the key wicket of HAshim Amla, but he and Mace found themselves unable to keep the runs down. AB De Villiers led the charge for South Africa and raced past 40 before Langdon Alger came on and dismissed the big fish with a fine caught & bowled. Nonetheless, the Proteas seemed happy to try and chase with a series of cameos than any one man playing the big knock. Faf du Plessis took over the attacking mantle with successive boundaries against Alger as CricSim searched for control.

    30 overs: South Africa 205/4

CricSim continued to chip away, the expensive Alger dismissing his man du Plessis, but eevry time the bowlers looked like they might get back on top, another South African came in to brandish the willow, David Miller skipping into the 20s at more than a run a ball. The home side were yet to have a player reach 50, but only needed 113 off the last 120 balls.

37.5 overs: South Africa 243 all out

Returning for second spells, Mace and Davis were finally able to bowl a few overs without boundaries and Miller's impatience told when he hit a Davis full toss straight up in the air. When Weaver came back on, Pretorius was run out for 0 and two balls later South Africa were collapsing, Morris hitting one back to the bowler for another duck.

Philander went only one better before nicking behind off Mace, and Weaver collected a third wicket when he uprooted Rabada's stumps. JP Duminy blamelessly became the first South African to reach fifty, but support ran out for him as Weaver dismissed Steyn to complete a decisive victory.

    Cricsim won by 74 runs.
