but he didn't even get his side remotely close to winning the game. Should have been Attapatu imo got them off to a solid start and scored 40 in the second dig aswell as his side winning.
Yeah, but he did more to help his team than Atapattu did. It's no Botha's fault that the batting was gash and couldn't post a competitive total, or that the rest of the bowlers (bar Noffke) threw pies. An exaggerated example would be if Incey's top 7 all made 40. And all 5 of his bowlers took 2/20. So Incey makes 280 and Boob 200... but Pietersen makes 140* in both innings. KP deserves MOTM.
Lol'n at it being his first three wickets of the game. If someone told him at the start of the match he was going to take a hatty, I don't think he would've expected 0 match wickets when the opposition was 7 down in the second dig
Yeah but if was truely the best player on the field he would have stood up more and got them closer. In basketball if player (A)scores 25 points and 7 boards and Player (B) scores 35 and 10 boards but his team loses by 30, motm would go to player (A) because he had more of an influence on the outcome. If Botha played worst than he did and everyone else played the same the outcome would have still been a thrashing. I could understand if the scoreline was closer but when it is a hidding MOTM should never go to the losing team. @ the edit that game was alot closer though, Tunza lost by > 200, If everyone on Inceys side made 40 = 440 and Boobs side made 220 but Pieterson got 140* would you still give him MOTM?
