Fixture up for major overhaul

I was reading an article that suggests a mid-season drafting and trade period could be in play in 2016, that also had this idea tucked in

I think this is a seriously good idea, one that needs to be refined, but has substance. I especially like the part where the bottom 6 battle for draft positions.

 

Prefer Brayshaw's idea.

So essentially the same as now? That sounds more unfair tbh, blockbuster matches will eliminate any potential fair way to set the teams to play twice.

 

I thought atm it was random, which still makes no sense. At the very least you should rotate though all the teams you play twice.

 

We wouldn't win a game.

Problem with that is there'll be 10 teams then battling for picks, so your worst teams ends up with the 10th best pick or something.

 

I suppose you could always stagger it like

A: 10 v 9
B: 12 v 11

C: 13 v winner of A
D: 14 v winner of B

E: 15 v winner of C
F: 16 v winner of D

G: 17 v winner of E
H: 18 v winner of F

I: last winners play off


Or even better

A - 10 v 9
B - 12 v 11

C - Winner A v winner B
D - 14 v 13
E - 16 v 15
F - 18 v 17

G - Winner C v winner D
H - Winner E v winner F

I - Winner of G v winner of H

 

Just create a draft lottery.
