Is he the right person to be running the sim? He keeps making the dumbest decisions of all time and him alone is the cause of people losing interest. Should someone else take over?
Needs to stand up and take some responsibility for a major **** up rather than trying to shift the sole blame.
There is a few things that have had me pretty miffed: -Not re-simming a game that was only 60 minutes long: Now this really annoyed me as how realistic is a RU Sim that game length is 20 minutes less than it is meant to be? The game should have be re-simmed as it is not only unrealistic but pretty unprofessional to not have a 80 minute game just like every other game this season. That extra 20 minutes could make or break a teams season with a win or a loss. Pretty dire decision not to re-sim IMO. - Taking points off for having uncontracted players This should never have happened, and Eds should have realised this. The game should not have gone ahead until they had sorted out their contracts or just didn't play those members. This would not have happened with Rob and CricSim and it is going to be hard to take this sim seriously with mistakes such as this, and the way he went about it after the mistake had been made. I reckon Eds has done a really good job with the sim, it's just little mistakes that are ruining the overall experience of it and makes it hard to be really interested in it if things aren't consistent and professional throughout the whole season.
Oh yh, and he gave CCG like 4 hours to turn up for the trial, before killing him for not, when he didn't even know this'd happened
I think the whole 'trial' thing was a joke, what could CCG say? The evidence was pretty clear that they hadn't signed contracts and had played
Oh, and I think Eds is doing a fine job. He made one mistake, which was the Giants fault in the first place. Why not blame the admin for giving the Giants players access to the subbie without them signing contracts? Why not blame the Giants CoS for selecting them when they would have known they didn't sign. For all we know, the Giants were trying to get around the salary cap by playing un-signed players, they deserved to be punished. On top of that, who is to say the win and draw by the Giants wasn't influenced by these players? Re-simming is a pain in the arse when it takes an hour+ for the match to be simmed IIRC. Get over it, you were in the wrong.
