Fair enough then. From your list, I would have picked Tremlett if he'd have lasted until my round 4 pick, and Bresnan was also on my radar...that's about it. Shows how one dimensional my knowledge is.
In a competition Ahmed Shehzad can average 45+ with the bat in. Wasn't a terrible pick but meh @ random ****s who have played **** all games and done well in prank-standard cricket.
Ignoring retentions Best: 1. Steyn - Can't argue with it 2. Cook and Trott stand out after a pretty gun Ashes for each. 3. Khawaja 4. Tremlett 5. Rubbish round IMO will probably go with V Kohli as a good future pick 6. Probably Mathews 7. Williamson 8. Barath and arguably Nikita Miller who had amazing recent form 9. Bresnan 10. T Ahmed, J Foster or I Blackwell but mediocre round 11. Manzoor 12. Wright 13. Broom has been pretty gun. 14. Rehman 15. O'Brien 16. No one stands out really. Kaif? Southee? 17. My pick tbh. 18. Manou Worst: 1. Flintoff - too soon and never stood out statistically anyway 2. Tsotsobe or me, both a little too soon 3. Sharma 4. Jayasuriya 5. Mishra - too soon considering he isn't that huge a performer yet not much separating worst from best in this round though, hardly a horrendous pick 6. Tait - injuries + he doesn't play much 7. Panesar - still probably a dozen better spinners out there 8. Quality round, Gibbs gets the nod for being an old bastard on the decline 9. Genuinely uncertain, everyone is pretty close 10. Kumble for being gone, closely followed by Harmison 11. The other Murali 12. Paul Harris for being such a rubbish bastard of a player. Tuffey also has had a tough few years. 13. SI Mahmood 14. Guppy 15. Pietersen 16. No one stands out 17. Eww Chris Nash 18. Probably one of the future picks but they may become great picks next season.
