Haha, I was drunk and cutting a cheesecake with it half hanging off the bench so the knife went straight through and straight through my finger. Not unlucky at all, just incredibly stupid lol. Severed the artery, the nerves and tendon. So I can't move it well and I can't feel it on the inside of the finger.
Yeah, a bit a pain and a lot of blood, but there was seven of us there and two just happened to be nurses, so they wrapped it up and the blood/pain stopped pretty quickly. Had surgery the next day and I haven't had to use any of my painkillers yet so I think I got lucky.
That was extremely lucky to have nurses nearby. When my mum snapped her achilles for the first time (she's done it twice) she was playing tennis against a doctor and a nurse and her doubles partner also used to be a nurse so they all knew straight away what she had done. Second time she knew what she had done but her whole leg burst open were the stitching was because her body was rejecting them and when it snapped it just burst it open and it was pretty disgusting, I was like 12 and I was there and had to explain on the phone to the ambulance what had happened and what I could see.
It was half frozen, so I used this brand new razor sharp one lol. As I said, I was drunk, so I wasn't thinking
Sounds like when I fell off a roof a couple new years back and shredded some fingers on the guttering.
