    We basically got a first rounder for a bloke who isn't even in our best 22. I'd imagine basti would have been around 27-30ish on our list next season.

    Round one fixture for next year was released on the weekend:

    Thursday:
    Richmond v Carlton (MCG)

    Saturday:
    Melbourne v GWS (MCG)
    Gold Coast v Essendon (MS)
    Sydney v Collingwood (ANZ)
    North Melbourne v Adelaide (ES)

    Sunday:
    Bulldogs v Fremantle (ES)
    Port Adelaide v St Kilda (AO)
    West Coast v Brisbane (DS)

    Monday:
    Geelong v Hawthorn (MCG)

    Pretty sure that the rest of the fixture gets released at some stage this week

    Will be interesting to see how many games WCE play at the MCG this year.

    They all sooked that they didn't play there enough and it hindered their Grand Final. Can see the travelling a few times and Eagles sooking about having to travel too much :laugh:

    Eagles fans are some of the biggest sooks when it comes to the umpiring despite the fact they get a brilliant run in WA so it wouldn't shock me to see them sook over that as well.

    Interesting deal this one. Would want to hope we don't finish bottom 3 next year, but on the surface it looks pretty positive.

    Melbourne have struck a deal with the Gold Coast Suns that sees them gain picks 3, 10 and 43 in this year’s draft, while giving up pick 6, pick 29, and their 2016 first-round draft pick.
