    Apologies if I'm derailing a little - but if there was one player you could add to your side, who would it be and why? The caveat is at must be slightly realistic: someone who has flagged they'll leave their club or opportunity starved player you could prise away.

    If Treloar hadn't chosen Collingwood he'd be my choice. Considering the low price we'd have to pay, for me it's Steve Johnson, just ahead of Yarran who will add some x-factor to a reasonably vanilla Tigers outfit.

    But once upon a time it was Collingwood & Richmond who opened the season on a Friday night. I agree though, just let Richmond & Carlton open the season every year. Works well.
