    30 overs: CricSim 137/7

Devon Mace looked like he might be saving the game, progressing fluidly into the 30s, before being involved in the second mad run out of the series.

Weaver, looking to make up for the mix up, took charge. With Hastings feeling the worst of the assault, the allrounder was soon top scorer and gave CricSim just a sniff at reviving their chase.

  2. AVA T Delonge

Really missing Delonge to steady the ship.

  3. Howe JHF Howe

    40 overs: 171/7

Sesing more than just a flurry of desparate blows might be something on the cads, Weaver and Alger delayed their push, aiming to bat out the overs and give the home side a chance. Weaver brought up fifty, but barely celerated as he knew there was a job to do, while Alger concentrated on just remaining at the crease.

41.5 overs: CricSim 183 all out

It didn't quite work out that way. Langdon Alger played around a straight one from Faulkner, and while Weaver blamelessly took a single after hitting a six, the returning Hazlewood was able to spear through Cambridge and Dyer in successive deliveries to complete his five-for and deliver the win.

    Australia won by 80 runs

Next time - away to South Africa. Another 15-man squad needed for the 3-match series. :)

Resting both Delonge and Wood was probably a stretch but hoped Hawke and Chewie would step up

There's a bit of a pattern of late involving Scolari and either winning or losing.
