So much bitching about Ennis doing the Viking clap at the end on 360 last night. As a fan I love that sort of stuff, I give players heaps when I'm at the game, they have every right to give it back. 'It was so disrecpetful to Canberra and their fans'-some peanut on 360. Of course it was, the Raiders fans undoubtedly calling him a grubby cunt all game wasn't overly respectful either, Ennis essentially telling them to fuck off is excellent, they're little things that make the game worth watching.
The only reason it's getting so much attention is because it's such quality feed from Ennis. If he was just shushing them or whatever like Bird was no one would have cared.
I don't think the better fans really care and Stuart only comes out in the media having a massive sook to reiterate the us vs them mentality that he's instilled in Canberra. I don't really agree with Emm on enjoying that sort of stuff from players though. I definitely don't have an issue with it but I've always thought the image of a champion gracious in victory, and vice versa, is one of the greatest spectacles in sport.
I think the Ennis action would have been brilliant after a Cronulla try. But after the fulltime siren makes him look like a tool.
Yeah I dont have a problem with it either but obviously need to pick your moment. Doing it after victory makes you look like a tool and if the result went the other way he would have been the one having a sook. Would have much preferred for him to do it right before kick off for maximum effect.
