Yeah, exactly the reason I want Pheonix to do side-shows. Saw Deep Sea Arcade last night at the Metro in Sydney, was soooooo fucking good. Ands seeing Jungle Giants this week, Lorde the next and Boy & bear after that, super keen.
When you go and see Jungle Giants, tell me what you think of a band called the Creases who are supporting - know a couple of dudes in it but haven't seen them live at all.

they pretty much played everything they've released. all of aero plane bar. communist daughter and pretty much all of on Avery island as well. they were bloody brilliant.
Did you happen to catch any of the opening acts? Superchunk are one of my favourite bands and really wish I'd caught M Ward while he was over here. I saw The National a couple of years ago. The singer was downing bottle after bottle of wine throughout the show and by the end of it he was climbing over all the seats in the theatre. Ended up being quite a good night especially considering I wasn't that big a fan of the band at the time.
