Yeah, I would have signed one only at the Allstars. If I hang at Gamblers for 3 or so seasons, then I will look into it I suppose, unless the subforum is as good as I hope next season...
I would probably sign a two season contract with the Gamblers. I consider myself as being fairly loyal, and it backs itself up as i have only left the Vipers and Allstars when they folded and I told Boob if Carbonators (in this case - Gamblers) got in i'd be there and i'm a man of my word.
I like the idea, tbh. It could save the whole rigmarole of re-signing all your players at the end of every season.
Both valid points. But they can be easily solved anyway. If they wanted to join a new club they could easily ask for a release...and most members who'd sign multi-season contracts usually remain active enough...and like you said, they should have to "declare their activity" anyway.
I think CricSim needs something big to keep it moving. Is it this? Maybe not, but something along these lines. That said, I have no suggestions.
Set the bowling patterns, have orders to alter the batting order if certain events occur (nightwatchmen), whether to hold out on the new ball. I don't know how much of the above is possible but at the moment there is no real dificulty in being able to select and name 11 players.
You could make it so you could set how Agressive each batsmen/bowler is? A bit like Battrick. Don't know if it's possible.
Would be ITSTL. Probably work okay with live simmage, but be rather difficult in regular simmed games. Maybe have like intervals at the game where COS's can select options for a day's play, or 90 overs or whatever
Even that could work to split it up at a days play. It would be a fair bit of mucking around for Rob one top of what he allready has to do so it may not be feasible. Would require the CoS to be online during the whole game.
Yeah it's not very simtastic, but imagine if he had to do all that extra shit. Bring multiple seasons in, IMO.
