    He has proved it before though in FG. Tighe isn't a good enough winger to keep him out IMO. One of those incidents where trial form should come into it when picking the backline for next season.

    I only think trial form should be taken into consideration though when there is considerable doubt over positions ftr.

    I rated Earl in his performance on the field last season, not the games that he played this season though. I don't particularly care that much for Simmonds or Purtell, but I don't think that Earl is the answer for either of them, when he's not injured that is.

    I'm pretty sure he is, however how many tries he's scored is pretty irrelevant, he's safe under the high ball, get's through a mountain of work, pretty good positionally and does all the little things right, chases every kick as if his life depended on it.

    I hate how people judge a wingers worth on the number of tries they pick up, there's so much more to it than that.

    I reckon most clueless panthers fans (hughesy) would want Earl in for Simmons because he looks more like a footballer than the jew fro'd Simmons. I've got to admit when we signed him I thought 'Simmons, bleh, bit of depth I guess) but he's been one of our best all year.
