I actually ended up cheating for it. I can give you the Dolphin specific Codes for it if you want. Basically I activated the two cheats ("Change Shop Items v4" and "Display Item Digit For Change Shop Item", went to a shop and bought 99 Love Sources (I believe that's what they are called, it's in the "strange" part of the "Other" page of the collectopaedia). Then you need to give 50 as gifts for each character to get from the lowest affinity to the max. And just keep buying it until you max everyone out.

Shif+F1,F2,F3 etc. Sometimes you have to do it manually through the menu before you can do it. Dolphin developers aren't as good as the PCSX2 ones, save states can crash your game too. Better to save legit often, it takes like 10 seconds anyway.

Check the Dolphin Forums if you want some decent settings. Only problem with it for me is that it crashes semi-often. But since I like to save a lot, I only lose 5 or so mins at the most. Still, it's annoying.

I use Rev 7714M, doesn't crackle for me. Well, maybe like twice at the most in the 70 or so hrs I've played it so far.
