Despite his distinctly average Test record I expect Ramps to tear up. You don't average ~100 for 3 years, practically carrying his Surrey side and then fail in a high level domestic competition. Any others that haven't played tests for a considerable amount of time or are even yet to make their debuts, who you think will go well in this?
Decent... but will they be exceptional? Not just the players who will hold their own but mix it up with the Test players. I fully expect Ramps to do that itbt. Expectation/hope in one emotion
Looking forward to my predominantly non test playing middle order in Ed Joyce, Martin van Jaarsveld and Hlyton Ackerman....
I'd imagine they'd be very good without being world class like Ponting, Clarke, Tendulkar, Chanderpaul etc etc.
Key Ramprakash Badrinath Fatel Symonds McDonald Foster Oooh.... that seems bad Gambhir being my only current Test player in my top 8.
Should be interesting, van Jaarsveld is the one who caught that sweep shot from slip IIRC, that was pretty awesome
Badrinath will be pretty good, I've liked him ever since I saw a series against Sri Lanka where he looked a gun batsman, haven't seen him since.
