Weaver definitely is underused, I've never understood why Gaz is so focused on Boland going 12/27 for 30 every week. Weaver is an MVP calibre player. Boland is a bit of both. He attacks the rim, but also takes a lot of jumpers. Probably more of a jump shooter than slasher though. Weaver has a very nice mid range game. Can extend to the three point line a bit too, but that element of his game has been poor this season. I don't think I can do this tbh.
Team: Mo's Round: Round 9 Lineup: Starters G Boland (40) G Perry (32) F Popovic (32) F Oz (20) C Weaver (40) Bench Torres (24) Gemmell (28) Jacobs (12) Amir (12) Tactics: First scoring option: Boland Second scoring option: Weaver Third scoring option: Special Instructions: Timeout on 0-8 run When Gemmell is on put Boland to SG Mousey to make extra changes to the system/mins if he sees fit according to game situation. If Boland is shooting under 50% switch Weaver to first scoring option Weaver to guard Hall Thoughts on the special instructions?
Where is it that you control the pace of the game? I'd be interested to see if there are any changes in that aspect. Otherwise looks good for a change. Let's see how this goes.
Team playing style (bold one): ground and pound, extra passes, standard offense, quick shots, run 'n' gun Offensive focus (bold one): balanced, feed the post, outside shots, drive to the hoop Defensive system (bold one): man to man, zone Offensive tempo: 60 Defensive pressure: 80 Offensive transition or crash the defensive boards (bold one) Defensive transition or crash the offensive boards (bold one)
Is that the standard template or what the Mo's have (if so what's bolded for us)? I like the Off/Def split but I don't think I see that in the games...
You have defensive pressure at 80, yet you're not getting back on defense. Switch to Defensive Transition from crashing the offensive boards and let's see if we give up fewer points. Re: Weaver, you've already made the change I was thinking of so let's see how that pans out. I do think you're too much in love Boland's scoring...
No I meant in general (hence the ಠ_ಠ). I'm not fond of making too many changes at once, then you don't know what worked. Like I said, what you put in instruction wise to switch to you as first option if Boland is < 50% should be good for now. If Boland is shooting normal, he'll be under 50% and you'll be the go to guy. If Boland is > 50% then we should be looking good offensively. It's a win-win hopefully. I would definitely make sure we switch from crashing the o-boards all the time to focus on defensive transition. We give up way too many points.
