    Copa Claro - Semis

Luka Popovic has made it into his first final for quite a while, beating Joshua Ritchie on an admittedly quite boring day of tennis. The standard of beatings got even worse in the other singles match, when Clayton Evans won only one game in the entire match against Ginger Furball. He did extract some form of revenge in the doubles though with the help of Alistair Son.

Luka Popovic def Joshua Ritchie 7-5, 6-1
Ginger Furball def Clayton Evans 6-0, 6-1
    R. Chowdhuri & L. Popovic def S. Vimes & J. Rhodes 6-0, 6-4
    C. Evans & A. Son def O. Wood & G. Furball 7-5, 6-7 (2-7), 6-3

    Brisbane - Semifinals

Marcuss Deane will not be in the final of the Brisbane Open, after being on the wrong end of an humiliating defeat at the hands of Heath Davis. The Kiwi hardly put a foot wrong all game, but the most surprising thing was Deane's loss of form. The Brit had put himself as favourite for the title before the match, openly starting trash talk with Bruce Force, who incidentally lost in his match too. The other Brit in the draw lost out to home player Alex O'Driscoll after taking the first set. Both of the Brits' days got even worse when the doubles came around, when both of them managed to lose somehow, especially Deane's match was more surprising when him and Ivan Ryabovol waltzed the first set.

    Alex O'Driscoll def Bruce Force 5-7, 6-3, 6-3
Marcuss Deane def by Heath Davis 1-6, 1-6
    C. Warrington & B. Force def by B. Burger & S. Yates 2-6, 3-6
    I. Ryabovol & M. Deane def by R. Wheelson & O. du Toit 6-1, 2-6, 4-6
