A genuine shortage of points, a strong defensive team and should be strong on the boards. Will probably be playing a whole lot of big ball, which is thankfully my specialty.
Yeah I had a look at the team I would pick and I would say at this time it would be, Cambridge Man Downes Ryabovol Gayler basically all the points will have to come from Downes, and if I can't find him open or with a decent shot I will be jacking them up... hopefully our size will help us on the boards and we can get some decent second chance points.
Can someone tell me what the difference between a SF and PF is? I seem to be playing there alot for club and province nowadays.
Small forward is more athletic, needs a better outside shot, plays more on the perimeter. A small forward is more like a shooting guard than a power forward, but your teams are both running big lineups and it seems to be working so that's nice. Being active means your defence is pretty good and your outside shot has never been bad.
Nothing,It is just a name. Generally though you want 3 or more players who can play outside in/ inside out and considering your lack of players you are needed to stretch the floor because your other 2 bigmen cannot play those kind of roles.
MOUSEY PLEASE, we have been through this. If we are going to teach people about bball teach them the correct ways....
Er...I'll take both on board. Cheers fellas. Wish the NBA season wasn't in its final stages, might have been able to get into it with some assistance from Wheels.
Essentially Downes you are playing at the SF because you are slightly undersized and you are a much greater threat from mid range and outside than any of our other options. You seem to be athletic enough to guard most of the small forwards around the league as well. Gayler and Ryabovol seem to be strong inside players, whereas you have a much more well rounded game.
Going to stick with the same team against Vic. I honestly think we are genuinely strong as a starting squad, we just lack a bit of depth. I would also love it if we had a genuine scoring guard option. (as a personal aside 8 points from 4/6 shooting with no 3 point shots. Production is down, but taking less bad shots a big plus.)
