We all know the value of a good set piece taker at your club... So, who's the best set pieces taker at your club? Free kicks: Shooting opportunity: Dead ball delivery: Corners: Penalties: The best set piece taker in the league? Free kicks: Shooting opportunity: Dead ball delivery: Corners: Penalties: The best set piece taker worldwide? Free kicks: Shooting opportunity: Dead ball delivery: Corners: Penalties: Finally, do you prefer your team to use man marking or zonal marking?
I think there's quite a difference between shooting opportunities from free-kicks, and dead ball delivery.
Our set pieces have been so shit this season. Apart from Ryan Taylor who is out until May we don't have a decent set piece taker.

Both marking systems have pros and cons, but I'll go with man marking, just because I'm slightly old fashioned.
He has had a couple of great strikes - the Man Utd one in particular stands out. However overall his delivery is pretty poor tbh. I don't think we have scored from a corner this season and he is the main corner taker.
Only if he's going for goal. Newcastle's set piece deliveries can be summed up quite easy. Ball to Williamson (who is at the far end of the box), for a header down in the general direction of the nearest defender to clear. The only shift from this is the odd attempt at a shot, or on extremely rare occasions a short corner or trick corner that always seems to end with a shot hitting the bar.
Fair one. Have not really watched enough of Newcastle to really comment, so will take your word for it. If their stock routine is just to lump it to Williamson, who's lingering around the back post, that really is unimaginative. I remember when I played u11's football that was all we did from set pieces. I'd have thought that pro teams in the top tier would be capable of coming up with something a little better.

Balotelli the best at penalties in the world? Really? I wouldn't even have him as the best penalty taker at his club tbh.
