Mainly their older stuff, like they played most of the songs off of their Greatest Hits album, but some new stuff. I think they played Up all night, hearts all gone and after midnight off their newest album. It's a bit different but I quite like it.
Seeing Calvin Harris at one of the biggest clubs in Ibiza tonight Owwwwwww Van Dyk and Benny Benassi just fitting in there too. This night will be enourmas
Tickets for Off! go on sale today, Playing Brisbane,Sydney & Perth in January. If you don't know who Off! are, it's one of the lead singers from Black Flag (Keith Morris) and some dudes from Red Kross, playing oldschooley hardcore, but a little more friendler. Can't wait!!
So I ended up getting tickets to Off! Pretty happy and looking forward to it. I missed out last time, Flew to America a few days before they played Melbourne. It's been a good 2012, Got too see pretty much No.1 & 2 of my favourite bands of all time, and ones that I never imagined of ever, ever seeing. Teenage Bottlerocket The Pogues. Hopefully Slayer announce a sideshow in Melbourne for next year, And I would of seen 4 out of 5 bands. (My list) The Pogues (Never thought I'd see) Teenage Bottlerocket (Never thought I'd see) Black Flag (Doubt I'll ever see, Seeing Off will be good enough) Black Sabbath (Saw with Dio, Rumours about reunion with Ozzy) Slayer (Tom Araya lost his voice last time, so gave it a miss)
Hmm.....interesting. Black Flag's stuff is pretty standard though??? I dunno, not into hardcore.....I'll stick to the Chili Peppers.
I'd say most hardcore in that vein (including Black Flag) usually only goes for 2 minutes/3 minutes max? There's hardcore these days that's expanded the song length, but Trash Talk released a 5-track EP not that long ago that went for 8 minutes. I really thought about doing this, but I'm too much of a tight cunt to shell out 70 bux to see them. If it was 40 then hell yeah, but 70 is just too much for the nostalgia value.
