So I have been considering exactly what to do with the rest of the season. At present there are set to be 12 club rounds and then the Provincial Cup, then I'll have a North/South thing (not fully decided what yet). However, I am cautious that each club playing each other 4 times in the season could be pretty boring. I am also aware that there is not a great deal of interest in the reserve stuff and that getting another "proper" team in would actually be better for the sim overall. I am looking at reducing the league down to playing each other twice, so 6 rounds, then having finals. Having the Provincial Cup and then N/S. Just wondering what others thoughts are on this idea?
Happy with either method personally. I think if we end now will probably coincide with end of cricsim season, whereas dragging it out to 12 rounds may see more interest in 2nd half possibly?
That is pretty much my biggest concern with it. But I am equally not wanting to just drag it out to a point where there is very little interest full stop. There is already a very obvious gap between the top 2 and bottom 2 which I think will just keep getting bigger if we go on for 12 rounds.
