    I think the closest you can get to that is maximising game speed.

    Don't know why you would want to do that though... for me the fun is the matches.

    Worth getting 09 over 08?

    Yes I'm a sucker for updated squad lists etc but sometimes older versions are still better in quality?

    edit: what I really mean is it worth pay the extra 50-70 AUSTRALIAN dollars to get 09?

    Exactly, go for an interent site, might get it cheaper.

    I'd say it was definately worth it, theres alot of good additions, 3d matches, they've revamped the transfer system... and you can be a woman!!

    You can but its inadvisable.

    My reserve GK and a valuable member of my first team squad both came out of pre season severely lacking match practice. Pissed me off big time.

    That annoys me about this game. The penalty shootouts are always rediculously long. People score way too easily even if they have 3 penalties.

    Beat West Brom 2-1 in the LC with a really weakened team. My first team (apart from Keirison who was brilliant in the LC) then played the same wB team in the league at the weekend and we drew 1-1... ****ing rage!!

    What's some of the weirdest takeovers you seen on your game so far?

    So far some weird ones I had.

    New Zealand tycoon taking over Portsmouth (a NZ'er rich? as if!)

    Japanese tycoon taking over Rangers (sure that went down well..)

    Chinese Taipei tycoon taking over Stade Brestois 29 (never even heard of Chinese Taipei before..)

    Dutch tycoon taking over Notts County (while they were a mid table League 2 side, and hence propelling them to one of the richer clubs in the game ;))

    Albanian promotion from within at Lazio, and hence kicking off all the Italian directors and replaced by Albanian directors, epic lulz. (also makes them only foreign owned teamed in Italy at the same time)

    Spanish tycoon taking over Fulham and has spent nearly 2 billion pounds on transfers since arriving on 7/11/08

    Stoke taken over by Saudi Arabian tycoon while in League 1.

    A Puerto Rican tycoon taking over Blackburn. LOL.

    ITSTL. Give us a quick rundown of what's changed in those two decades?

    Is it still a Big Four or have more teams moved in to challenge? Any newcomers from Europe that are challenging from Champions League? Which are the top leagues in Europe? Who won the World Cups?

    Do any of you play FM live if so is it any good thinking of getting into it. I like Fifa manager 09 not that good at doing tactics avg really that's why i play that game.

    I don't play FM live.

    FFS... Arteta injured for the 3rd time. 10th of October, and hes been injured 3x since the start of the season. urrrrrrrrrrrgh!

    Lost 2-1 to Newcastle. Not been a good start to the season. Wasn't a good performance.

    Agreed on the NZ tycoon, prob has a grandparent who went on a holiday to NZ for 2 weeks so we claim he's a kiwi. Don't really care too much about takeovers at other clubs though in my games.
