United are probably the biggest catch in football deals. No way are Adidas going to not compete with Nike for the United deal. Other smaller companies may be interested too. France and Germany national team deals have gone for pretty high prices due to the competition. Nike wanted Germany deal and offered ridiculous prices but the German's picked Adidas for a lower price because they have been associated from the start and are a German company.
The deal is worth way too much to Nike, the partnership is already established, the merchandise already there, Adidas would need to offer a far better deal then Nike for United to even consider it.
It was. Warrior is New Balance. And it might be *just* the highest amount for a kit deal, for maybe a year. Big win.
There's no just about it. It is the highest in premier league history, I'm pretty sure it shits all over united's current deal.
Lol, shits all over it? Its 1.4 million more a season, when Uniteds deal started in 2002 and about to be dramatically improved. Don't cry to me that the best you can do is New Balance.
How is that relevant. (Yes I know the link between Red Sox and your owners) If Adidas offer 26 million a season you would have taken it as its higher. But they didnt, so you didn't. Simple.
The united deal with Nike actually increases over the period of the contract. I think it increased after hitting a milestone last year as well by a couple of million or something like that. Plus then there are percentages on sale etc...
Yeah but the 23.5 mill figure wouldnt be what they made in 2002, that would be what they are making now.
Got a source for that? I say this because, if it kept going up, Warrior wouldn't be the highest, yet media reports say they are.
http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/business/1005794.stm Only worth 23.3 mill according to this source, admittedly that's a VERY old link, but it doesn't say anything about increasing over time.
I didn't say it went up. But it would have, we are comparing base amounts rather then increases in them; incentive increases aren't included as im sure the liverpool deal likely has them as well. The deal wasnt laid out as 23.5 a season, rather a lump amount of 303 for 13 years. So it was the same then as it is now, however there is likely bonus amounts on top now.
It was 100% Truth. The brand is Warrior, which is owned by new balance, The kits are made by Warrior, It's like saying Youtube is Google because Google owns it. And it is the biggest kit deal in the premier league.
Lol okay. Warrior is soo much better then New Balance.. despite it being nothing but a subsidiary puppet head. It likely wont even be by the time it comes into effect haha
 Warrior is a big sporting company in Ice Hockey and Lacrosse, also moving into baseball and obviously looking to expand into football. To say they wont be around in a years time...fmd.
I didn't say they wouldn't be around in a years time.. FMD I was referring to your second misleading point. It likely won't even be the biggest kit deal when it finally comes into effect. It barely is at all, let a lone when United renew a deal with Nike this year.
