I took a catch in my first game but that was completely accidental. I never read the instructions before the match and I actually hit X to catch and he caught it. Subsequent attempts at doing the same thing have proved this was a fluke however.

Been playing this a bit lately. Just got out so close to getting my first t20 century, was on 96 from 28 balls. Tried to slog it and hit it onto my stumps.
Bought this on ps4. Hit a ton on fc debut. Forgot how easy this was. Ps4 version needs a bit of love. Lacking on the updates but there is supposed to be one mid September
Really felt like playing this last night, so I went out and bought it. Played for a few hours and am kind of over it already. Ahhh.
Been playing this a bit lately. Played an exhibition T10 against Hong Kong as NZ cos I just updated the teams and Adam Milne top scored with a 11 ball 50 and then took 4 wickets for 7 runs WAG
This game is still probably the best Cricket game, but it's so frustrating in many ways too. I play as a spin bowler and there is literally no spin at all. Off break, Leg break, it all just goes perfectly straight. Well, sometimes it swings right at the end to completely miss the wicket at the last moment. The AI is really shitty, with the latest patch their field placements are worse than ever. They bowl too many slower balls too. Slip fielders are totally useless 99% of the time (especially when you are the fielding side). Also the career mode could use some improvements, like team selections as captain, and giving your AI batting partner some special instructions (rotate the strike more, go for big shots etc). They seem to mostly defend everything, or hit it in the air.
The bowler's speed goes down significantly after a couple of balls. Only for fast/medium pace bowlers though obv
Pretty sure they fixed that a long time ago. I played career mode as a fast bowler and there was no significant dropoff in speed until like 7th or 8th over in a row (10-15 mph). Then the speed would be back to normal in the next spell or next day.
I went on a month or so ago and was hoping downloaded updated rosters would be a little easier, but most of the top rated teams to download were all pretty old.
There's a list on PC.net of the best rosters to download, with international teams up to date to the CWC15 and English County Cricket for the most recent season but nothing newer than that for international teams, and other teams not too up to date.
