Down by 1 with X minutes remaining, pull keeper when in possesion of the ball Assume thats prob not even possible but realism suggestions
This. Along with, off the top of my head; Ability to pull the Goalie. This will mean one starting goaltender will be named, with the backup goalie on the bench if he is needed. Pulling the goalie means if the starting goaltender gives up 4-5 goals in quick succession, the backup goalie takes over. The goalie can also be pulled in the dying minutes of the 3rd period if the losing side is only down by a goal, as pulling the goalie means they can add an extra attacking player, for a higher chance of scoring an equaliser and going into OT. Power Play and Penalty Killing strategies (e.g team on PP goes all out attack, PK team all out defence) Shorthanded goals (PK team scores a goal when the opposition are on the PP) Possibility of adding a few attributes, perhaps Speed, Shot Blocking, Skating Skill, etc Attempt to lower the amount of "Stick Saves", generally stick saves are rare and only used on either spectacular saves, or really shitty, weak shots (Seahack forwards). Pad saves should be the majority saves for the GK. More in-depth tactics on team offence and defence, after all they are the key to Ice Hockey. Game Misconduct and Suspensions. Game Misconduct would mean a player has ****ed shit up big time and been sent from the remainder of the game, so of course another player would have to take his position. Possibility of implementing team moral. Huge loss, or a losing streak would significantly lower the teams moral, yet heighten their aggression and desperation to start winning again. Also counts towards having Home Ice advantage, as playing in your own arena can slightly boost team moral, while playing away games and having a crowd full of ****s (Failcoons) slightly lower moral. I know I have a million more suggestions in my head somewhere, and until I find them I'm sure Dorn and Roaddoggy Dogg will have some fair ideas as well.
I like Peaches' suggestions but can we not introduce more stats as we have to re-rego and it'll be a pain.
I was thinking not Special Abilities but the actual skills you can pick. But yeh, Special Abilities is another good idea.
