We should definitely have a mini mixed CPL of like 8 people one day where we count women's cricket as men's cricket and then tag @Boobidy in every scorecard of Ellyse Perry smashing around Pat Cummins and bowling Steve Smith through the gate. He loves that stuff.
no lack of quality allrounders in womens cricket. i swear half the nz side exists just to appreciate bates, devine, satterwaite etc
Ahh shit, sorry about that. Don't think I even ended up playing him either Made a complete horse's arse out of that one
Haha I was semi-prepared for that one at least, and now he's been picked really early so accurately rating Afghanistan and its domestic structure was an inevitability. Once it got to the last round I did think I might be able to put it off though.
I read the whole thing badly. Had it in my head that I would make the argument it should be a valid pick, knowing full well it couldn't be properly implemented, be told I couldn't and would then fall back on taking another personal fav, legendary all-rounder who would do badly in this (for different reasons). For some reason I didn't really think about the fact your logic would be the same as mine, with the key difference that it would actually bother you personally that it couldn't be implemented. I genuinely wouldn't have done it if I knew you had a strict no repicking rule as well. That said I'm sorry anyway. Didn't judge the circumstances well. As for the follow up post...I feel it should be stated for the record that any criticisms of the database are entirely made in jest. Not sure just how many players you have in it, but it's almost certainly several times the number of cricketers I know about. As a massive sport nerd who also has no ability at coding or any of that stuff, I genuinely think it's the coolest thing ever and am extremely jealous of its existence.
Let his pick stay. Let her average 1 with the bat and never take a wicket. Make sure it's realistic. Also make sure she can go Phil Hughes when someone who bowls over 120 bounces her.
I reckon Perry would probably be a low end first grade district player/good second grader. Karen Rolton played for Port Adelaide in SACA grade for awhile and floated between 2s and 3s. Perry & womens cricket in general is much better now than then.
@Cabinet - Tiwary’s just scored a triple lol other notable performances include Sheldon Jackson’s 186 and a 7-fer for Saxena
From the other thread a few days ago: The chances of anything interesting happening in the next week are basically zero.
