Chrome Anti-Paywall does get around it, haha. I've had it installed for ages but I think they've taken it off the Chrome Web Store thing so you'd have to sideload it in dev mode now (which is obviously possible, but annoying).
also it's cross-hosted by a couple of boards and leagues so it's possible to get at it using different domain names.
Tell me more. I'm still doing the stop loading the page hack each time I use it. Still gets there, but it's a fair old hassle. Where else am I going to find out which first class team Adam Wheater has played his best cricket for? (hint: its not Hampshire)
The numbers disagree https://stats.acscricket.com/Archive/Players/128/128913/f_Batting_by_Team.html It's been stripped of all menu headers so you have to navigate through hyperlinks from for example the player profile or replacing known cricketarchive links by stats.acscricket.com/Archive/, and you can't use the Player Oracle, but you can still get to scorecards and statistics tables pretty easily.
Slightly annoying, but really it's quite easy. This should help those who don't know what Cribb was talking about. Easier than Magrat's approach as long as you have Chrome installed.
Picking a team of favourites for this but oof the increase in teams means we're going to be stretching for players soon
Philander feels like a very good pick for 15th. I was pondering whether to go with him eight picks before that.
I'm interested to see where he ends up batting. I think the new sim will reward teams with more bowling options a bit more than the old one because of the individual strengths and weaknesses function, and Philander just averaged 28 with the bat in a 12 team comp. With twice as many teams in this one and the standard of the bowling diluted a bit, he might be able to average low to mid 30s and get away with batting 7 in a team with a strong batting keeper.
