Wow, it actually got worse. At least we now know who they teased as being in the grave at the beginning of the season. Tbh it should be Arrows writers. inb4 Felicity becomes the Black Canary and gay black afro technology man takes over for Felicity as annoying tech nerd.
This whole season has been fucking puss. Gees I can't wait to find out just how they're going to defeat him / ruin his idol again. Love when shows go backwards to go foreword
Guessing the stories are not taking place at the same time. Besides, it was shot a long time back. Didn't we see the scene at the beginning of the first episode of the season?
I am guessing the second particle accelerator explosion is going to make Jesse Quick and Wally West speedsters as well.
Just caught upto S02E13. The show's gone up a whole new level over the past few episodes. Loving it. Anyway, why did they have to cast such a poor actor to play Jay Garrick?? He looks the part, but every time he opens his mouth he's hamming it up like a kid at his first school play. Also, Earth-2 Barry's home phone had Bruce, Hal and Diana on speed dial, which means Earth-2 Barry must be a Flash too. And it doesn't make sense that Earth-2 Iris doesn't know about him being the Flash, because why else would he have them on speed dial?
Wot? This is reading as much as needs be into it. You can't just put their names on a speed dial and not expect people to draw the obvious conclusions. Hopefully this is explained somehow down the line otherwise it's just nonsensical writing.
Have I stepped into a bizarro world? Seriously, cool nods need to make sense. This just breaks the story.
No, it's bugging me Easter eggs shouldn't conflict with the established reality of the world. One explanation I can think of now is that Earth-2 Bruce, Hal and Diana aren't superheroes in this timeline, just like Barry isn't one. But even that falls short of being totally satisfactory because why would a regular Joe CSI tech be on BFF terms with a random fighter pilot, a billionaire playboy from Gotham and the ambassador from Themiscyra? And if Bruce exists in this world, it makes this an incomplete Flashpoint homage. They didn't have to, but would have been nice to have the symmetry
Imma keep watching and hope they tie up the loose ends satisfactorily. They've been killing it with the quality of the episodes recently and this just seems jarring. Best TV superhero show ever, IMO.
Yeah I think it was just an easter egg that isn't going to go anywhere. I mean, Barry in E2 could simply know a random Bruce or Diana. They're common names. I have a bigger problem with other easter eggs teasing Hal Jordan. Hal is shown in one of Ollie's flashback scenes just randomly sitting in a bar, Barry in S1 references a missing fighter pilot and it never goes anywhere, and (unrelated but) Ollie mentions that they can't use Oracle as Felicity's codename because it's taken. None of these are tied up and I think are meant to be fun little things for fans to catch. The one you mentioned is harmless in comparison. You wanna watch a show that neatly ties all of it's easter eggs? Watch Rick and Morty. It's on another level.
See because of this thread I understand you're referring to events from Arrow, but I cbf making sense of them because I don't watch that shit show
