Lower than 6 IMDB - The Room (2003) 17. Free Pick - The Prestige (2006) Pretty happy with that.
Good list. Your first pick is one of my all time top 10. On some days, #1. The fact you only stole my pick twice (The Lives of Others, The Shining) was a pleasant surprise. The only film I don't like in there is The Empire Strikes Back. Haven't seen Red River, Billy Madison or Kung Fu Panda.

Lower than 6 IMDB - Battle Beyond the Stars (1980) - 5.4 17. Free Pick - Oldboy (2003) Delighted with that list. A bit of a theme runs through it, but a couple of picks went a little off piste in that regard. Includes some of my all-time favourites (Aliens, Into the Wild, They Live, The Loneliness of the Long Distance Runner) and a number which fall just outside that bracket. The lower than 6 IMDB was a toughie - most of my favourite B movies (Quartermass and the Pit - 7.1, Trancers - 6.2, Night of the Comet - 6.4, Pontypool - 6.7, The Last Starfighter - 6.7, The Quiet Earth - 6.9, Enemy Mine - 6.9, Rollerball - 6.6, Alien Nation - 6.3, Westworld - 7.1) massively exceed that 6 level.

Meh on Rocky Horror & The Ring but I'm not a big fan of the genre.
Yeah, I think that's a product of my taste in films and then trying to shape my picks in each category to match that. I'm not expecting most people/anyone else to like my list, but I don't think that's a bad thing necessarily.
Of my picks: Average year for film: 1999 (Airplane the earliest at 1980, The Social Network the most recent at 2010) Average IMDB rating: 7.3 (Spykids 2 the lowest at 5.4,Pirates of the Caribbean the highest at 8.1) Average Rotten Tomatoes rating: 82% (Not another teen movie 28%, Airplane 97%)
1. Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope 2. The Blues Brothers 3. The Avengers 4. Up 5. Skyfall 6. Alien 7. Cars 8. Captain America: The Winter Soldier 9. Rush 10. The King’s Speech 11. Psycho 12. Big 13. Slumdog Millionnaire 14. Ratatouille 15. Her 16. Dr Doolittle 17. La Haine Quite happy with that.
I don't want to pick something for the sake of it, where do I find a fucking list of IMDB ratings under 6? I generally only ever watch a movie and say yeah it's a good one, or a shit one, even some of the better shit ones I've watched that I remember are rated in the 7s, I should be able to find one, but fuck me, scraping the bottom of the barrel is right.
I tried to find a list of movies rated <6 but there wasn't any lists readily available, just search a director you like, go through his movies, if nothing, go to an actor you like so on and so forth. Definitely some interesting lists made up here, good to see the varying tastes around the place. Fuck i love movies.

How do we determine the "winner" I was thinking possibly have people rate the lists from 1-10(however many people there are) to determine a seeding. So for example whoever receives the most votes in the voting stages receives a seeding, then we have 1v1 battles after that?
Maybe have a round by round vote (maybe a 3-2-1 system but cant vote for yourself and results are hidden until voting is over ?
