Basically just selected based on the order of picks unless it was for balance reasons. 1. David Warner 2. Alastair Cook 3. Shane Watson 4. Ross Taylor 5. Michael Clarke 6. Ian Bell 7. Brad Haddin 8. Stuart Broad 9. Ryan Harris 10. Tim Southee 11. Nathan Lyon
They haven't been a Commonwealth Realm since 1961. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Commonwealth_realm#Current_Commonwealth_realms They're a member of the Commonwealth of Nations, but that's not quite the same thing (and I'm pretty sure all the Test playing nations are besides Zimbabwe actually so it'd a be a bit of a pointless cricket grouping ). They're a republic, Queen Elizabeth II is not the head of state so they're not a Commonwealth Realm. "Part of the commonwealth" yes, but a Commonwealth Realm? No.
I'll start a thread for Africa once the last couple of spots have been filled anyway. CPL has a "13 rule" which makes Pietersen and Trott Saffas by virtue of not being eligible for anyone else, so that side will be pretty comparable if not better than the other two sides I've just posted.
It's just for mental masturbation really. It will have absolutely no effect on how well they play for your drafted teams or I would've made a thread about it.
Don't need Trott/Pietersen to make an african team better than these other two teams - just need the SA line-up :ninja:
Well depends, we don't really know what the SA line-up is any more. Hopefully it'll be the one we've formed before.
