Goodes getting rubbed out is the worst thing that could happen to my side. Does anyone know if Daniher will get a game any time soon?
Was really hoping he'd keep earning me money for a few more weeks. And probably not with the emergence of Gumbleton. Essendon have a real problem there imo. Out of Hille, Ryder, Bellchambers, Hurley, Crameri, Gumbleton and Daniher you can really only play 4 of them at most. Hille retiring at the end of the year will help. Even then a guy like Gumby who loves the club will be spending alot of time in the VFL for years to come unless he can push out Crameri or Hurley plays down back.
Hurley will definitely play back later on IMO. Was drafted as one, he'd probably be the best KPD in victoria if he played there 9.5/10 KPD, 7.5/10 KPF. When the options forward emerge, it'll be worthwhile playing him there. Ryder, Crameri & Gumbleton down forward with Bellchambers in the ruck. Let Daniher develop. Once he has, either fuck Gumbleton off or move ryder into the ruck and fuck off Belly (which sucks) or even down back.
Goodes earned me $200k, and should be around the $500k mark by the end of the season. I'm happy. Probably will shift Daniher next round then, barring shockers or injuries/suspensions.
Ftr, the next game Goodes plays is the first game where he'll has a positive break-even. Probably has one, maybe two jumps of 30k+ left in him.
Reckon Hurley down back is pretty much a carbon copy of Taylor tbf. Slightly weaker now but will be better.
Fletcher's very much a - loose man - small back/resting ruck/3rd tall type now anyway. will retire this season I'd say. Hooker's a spud. Carlisle plays the same role as him but shuts down his opponents better and is less of a liability offensively. Pears can take the big dudes but he's much better in the fletcher role; his rebounding is good and his read of the play is good. Carlisle taking #1 forward, Hurley #2 and Pears #3 is the best thing for essendon, IMO. Trade Hooker.
You'll all be surprised. Just saying. He was pick 5 as a full back - not a forward, and he's turned out a decent forward. imagine him as a defender.
Lol no. Good kpfs are much harder to find than kpd. Any ruck or key back who's even 20% worse forward than back plays forward provided the team have a ruck or kpd. Roughead a good example as is clark
How good must have McGuane had to have been to be recruited as a forward and play most of his career down back?
Trengrove is injured and Stevenson was only dropped because they had one too many defenders. Should hold his spot.
