Best Current Small Forward

    Plain and simple. Who do people rate as the best small forward in the league currently.

    The best I rate in no particular order would be consisting of Eddie Betts, Lindsay Thomas, Cyril Rioli, Mark LeCras and Luke Breust.

    Also believe that Steven Milne is over the hump with his best behind and in the St Kilda side with an abundance of small forward options could find himself pushed out quickly.

    Seriously though, what is a small forward in AFL? I've only even known them as half-forward and full-forward.

    LeCras gets my vote. He's performed well consistently which many small forwards struggle to do.

    Milne is still a very good player, wasn't he AA last year?

    Le Cras probably.

    Decline for these guys goes alot quicker then big blokes. Riewoldt and Milne are the perfect example.

    Yeah AA last year but from the first 2 games has looked a bit slower and is really struggling to impact the game so far.

    As much as LeCras probably is the best small forward when fit, would like to see him put some consistent games together before i'd give him the title.

    Tough position to have an impact from. Be interesting how LeCras performs now the West Coast midfields will only see him as the third or fourth option.

    Tbf I associate small forward with crumbers. LeCras is really a gen/3rd forward.

    AFL forward lines have talls and smalls. Centre Half Forward and Full Forward are usually tall, the forward pockets on either side of the Full Forward are often small crumbing forwards while the flanks on either side of the CHF are either resting midfielders or another small forward

    Current would have to be Thomas, but otherwise its Lecras by a bit

    Also would Bundy count as a small forward ?

    Bundy's a fucking midfielder who plays flank as there are 6 better mids.

    I'd probably choose Rioli if he were to sit in a FP, but he doesn't really anymore.
