Cheney is a very underrated player. Is not best 22 and he's holding the spot until Hodge is ready to go. The reason we traded for him was for the loss of C. Brown. We drafted Puopolo for the same job, and obviously he came in and impressed everyone and thus hasn't looked back. Cheney is a very handy, talented, hard depth player. Would be above quite a few on my list to be honest, most got a game before him.
Agree man. Can't wait for him to return. > first solid pre-season for Hawthorn since 2008, in terms of injuries. > lose Bailey, Hodge, Puopolo, I. Smith early in the season. Lol ok.
did nothing all day Anyway was a GREAT game to watch, close pretty much all the way through and what a game by Swan and liked his comment about the cheeseburgers. Also should that have been a point that Jetta kicked at 3qtr time? no one touched it and it bounced in for a point
Seriously spine tingling stuff. AFL is coming to Wellington by the sounds of it. "Morrison and the AFL are also talking about the concept of a multi-code, Melbourne-Wellington sporting extravaganza next year. The Anzac Day AFL game could be followed by the Hurricanes hosting the Melbourne Rebels in a Super Rugby match and the Pulse hosting the Melbourne Vixens in the trans-Tasman netball league. " That's a seriously good idea. I guess they'd have the AFL match in Wellington televised before the Collingwood vs. Essendon match as a lead in. St. Kilda vs. Brisbane probably isn't the biggest match on paper - I'd definitely prefer the Swans, but still, I'll be there.
Nice. Good to see, hopefully you kiwis get around it and the AFL try to make knowledge of the rules widespread - as otherwise it's no fun. AFL is just one of those games.
Nothing better then watching the Tigers get up and about imo. When we make finals it'd be equal in terms of celebrations to the Flint Tropics winning the NBA.
Not saying Essendon would've won, or should've for that matter; Collingwood played more consistent footy, whereas Essendon were on and off, but as Harps said the umpires have been calling it back a lot.
