Season 3, Round 1: Hurricanes vs. Vikings (vBookie)

Great shove from the Canes at the scrum, and they've run over the ball. The ball comes out and is thrown around a couple of backs before coming to Denton. He's also going nowhere, so he passes off to Ames. Ames nailed by his opposite number (Hunt). Great tackle, and bodies pile in from every angle. The ball’s slow to emerge, but some solid work by Gemmell there, with a hint of rucking on Hunt, who’s clearly obstructing the play. The ref ignores it and the ball comes out to Fung.

Again, he makes little progress. Some solid defence from the Vikings only 5m from the line. Fung tackled by Robinson. Gemmell in to the ruck again, and ensures the ball is retained. Now, it looks like Gemmell is shouting for a change of play here. Looks like they’re setting up for the pick and go. Pretty much on the line here, but Vikings bodies all around the ruck here, the ref’s having a torrid time keeping them onside.

Gemmell picks it up and offloads a short one to Torres on the move.

Cambridge dives at Torres' legs, and Torres falls, just short of the line, held up by Manera. Torres in an awkward position here as Vikings swarm over him. Humble and Glensor try to recover things, but too slow! Turnover!! Sensational defensive work from Cambridge there!
