Jeez. The time this is taking is pretty much like a proper game of rugby!

 

34:15: Penalty to the Hurricanes, spot on the 10m line into Vikings territory. Offside called against Manera. The ref has a quick chat with Mate Perry now. Probably a fair warning for the Vikings there. Conservative kick from Ames there, not much angle to work with. Attacking line out 20m into Vikings territory.

Good throw from Smith, taken easily by Humble. Humble to Fung, who tries to navigate a hole between Braid and Robinson. Whoah, there’s no hole to be found there, and Braid puts in a good tackle, and Robinson follows through to win the turnover. In fact, Fung ruled to have knocked that one on. With the ball slow to come out of the ruck, the ref blows his whistle and sets up a scrum to the Vikings.

 

Not deliberately!! Loads of entertaining play in the first 15, then a load of argy-bargy round the centre of the park for a while...
